1. Elizabethtown College Application for Admission
Students may submit a paper application for admission, complete the online application to Elizabethtown, the Common Application online, or the Universal College Application online. Be sure to include the $30 nonrefundable application fee, made payable to Elizabethtown College.
Be sure to complete the Elizabethtown Supplemental Form.
2. School Report and Recommendations
The School Report form should be taken to the appropriate high school office for completion. The School Report, its Guidance Counselor recommendation and one additional Teacher Evaluation should be returned to the Elizabethtown College Office of Admissions. You are more than welcome to submit additional letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, musical directors, pastors, employers and Elizabethtown alumni.
Transfer and home-schooled applicants may submit a second Teacher Evaluation in lieu of the School Report.
3. Official High School Transcript(s)
Submit your official high school transcript. While you are welcome to send a pre-senior transcript (grades through your junior year), Elizabethtown requires a report of your senior year first marking period grades to complete this segment of the application. All applications should submit mid-year grades when available.
High School students taking college-level coursework should submit appropriate transcripts to detail their achievements.
Transfer applicants must submit a final high school transcript and official transcripts from all previous college work.
4. Standardized Testing
Unless they qualify for the Standardized Testing Waiver, all applicants are required to submit scores from either the SAT I or ACT. Elizabethtown does not prefer one test over another. Your official scores should be sent directly to Elizabethtown College (SAT code #2225 and ACT code #3568).
5. Writing Sample
You must also submit an example of your writing in the form of a personal statement, graded paper or an essay on one of the topics suggested as part of the application.
Transfer applicants should submit a statement on why they would like to transfer to Elizabethtown College.
