Michele Saul and Wilmirlandy Besson: Research with Dr. Diane Bridge studying the effects of VEGF in the simple invertebrate Hydra.
Alexander Theofiles: research with Dr. Diane Bridge attempting to characterize the regulation in Hyrda of a transcription factor called FoxO.
Sara Deysher, Megan Gowens, Stacey Lehman and Angela Mitchell: Participated in research on the Simian T antigen oncoprotein with Dr. Jane Cavender.

Ariana Tan: Environmental Science major working at home in Lima, Peru at the International Potato Center which is a Consultative Group on International and Agricultural Research. Also interned at the Department of Health of Peru working on environmental issues regarding the importance of basic sanity of water, air, food and measure to prevent and eal with insect-transmitted diseases.
Laura Sheridan: served as an Emergency Medical Research intern at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY.
Rebecca Day: Internship with the PA Department of Environmental Protection in Harrisburg.
Kristen Zamietra: worked in Dr. Robert Levenson's lab at Penn State COllege of Medicine in Hershey, PA.
Sarah Campbell: internship with PA Department of Environmental Protection.
Jasmine Myers: internship at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA with Dr. M. Judith Tevethia's Microbiology laboratory.
Stephanie Triner: internship at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Laura Quigley: Research in South Caicos Island, British West Indies at the School for Field Studies.
Lillian Schemadovits-Norris: research through School for Field Studies in the Australian rainforest on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland Australia.
Rebecca Day: research with the School for field Studies in Puerto San Carlos, Mexico.
Melissa Jones: research with the School for Field Studies in Australia and New Zealand.

Alex Theofiles: research at Penn State University College of Medicine, Jake Gittlen Cancer Research Institute
Joseph Hines and Curtis Nolt: conducted research on the role of vascular enothelial growth factors in the simple invertebrate Hydra with Dr. Bridge at Pomona College in California.
Megan Cappos: research in Costa Rica at the School for Field Studies.
Audrey Hitz: employed at Annville-Cleona Veterinary Associates
Erin Fisher: participated in Geisinger Weis Center for Research summer internship program. Focused on the G-protein coupled Calcium-sensing Receptor (CaR).
Rebecca Holler: worked in a biology lab with Lycosids.
Krysten Jones: internship at Hanson Technologies in Carlisle. Aided in the development of various biosensor assays for bacterial pathogens, concentrating on Salmonella limits of detection and cross-reactivity.
Laura Kubica: participated in the Summer Student Research Fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut working in the OB/GYN Department.
Stephanie Petry: internship at the Dauphin County Coroner's Office in Harrisburg.
Lisa Wherley: participated in a medical mission trip on the island of Taveuni, Fiji. Involved in a project to help stop the spread of scabies and head lice on the island.

Yasunori Nagahama: did research with Dr. Coren building the human genomic library.
Meghan Gowens, Linda Nilsson and Angela Mitchell: working with Dr. Cavender on various projects.

Undergraduate Summer Research/Internships

Alicia Alcamo – Research with Dr. Bridge at Pomona College in California.
Abbas Alibhoy - Hershey Medical Center as a participant in the Summer Undergraduate Research Internship Program (SURIP).
Steven Choc – University of Toledo Environmental Research Center in an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program this summer studying the distribution of E. coli bacteria.
Jessica Hoagland - Interning at the Hershey Medical Center doing research with the Retinopathy group concerning the effects of diabetes on retinas.
Krysten Jones - Fox Chase Cancer Center as a summer assistant working in a laboratory. The specific project will investigate the effect of temperature (and perhaps also buffer composition) on the quaternary structure distribution of various PBGS proteins.
Laura Kubica - Research Volunteer at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT with a neuroscientist.
Rachael Levine – Summer Internship at Greifenstein Farm in Elizabethtown that started in March 2005. Greifenstien Farm is a horse breeding farm and so I will be working with mares and babies and learning current breeding practices.
Anthony Rizzardi - Internships/shadowing experiences lined up at the Ashland Regional Medical Center in Ashland, PA, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA, and at two family practices (one in Shenandoah, PA, and one in Frackville, PA). At all of these medical centers and clinics, I will be doing work in many primary care fields, such as family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics. I may also be working part time at the Ashland Regional Medical Center as a laboratory technologist (I should know in about two weeks if I got the position). I will also be looking to finish my EMT training and certification over the summer.
Paul Sahd - Internship at Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Saunders and I will be administering stress on bone in order to create a growth response.
