ON CAMPUS RECRUITING FAQ
How do I know the deadline to submit my resume?
Application deadlines are listed on Jobs for Jays and on the Recruiting Calendar (PDF file). As the Calendar indicates, the vast majority of job deadlines are about 2 weeks prior to the employer visit. Any other exceptions will be listed on in the job description.
Plan ahead. You must be registered with Jobs for Jays in order to participate in the On Campus Recruiting Program and logged in to Jobs for Jays in order to submit any application materials for a given deadline. Deadlines are final.
I've registered with Jobs for Jays, but am unable to view any jobs.
Anytime in Jobs for Jays you update your profile or your resume, your login will fall into a pending status. Career Services must re-activate your account before you are able to continue. Reactivation is usually done within 24 hours unless changes are made prior to a weekend or holiday.
My profile is active, however I am not able to view all the on campus recruitment jobs or internships that are available.
If you are not qualified for a job or internship, you will not be able to view it. Some qualifications include status, GPA, or US citizenship. Also, once a job or internship has reached the deadline date for submitting a request for an interview, the job will no longer be available. Jobs and internships usually have a deadline date two weeks prior to the on campus recruitment date.
Who can request an on-campus interview?
Only students and alumni may request an interview with an employer. Students and alumni must also have submitted materials and applied to employers through our on-line system, Jobs for Jays. If you decide to submit your application materials to an employer outside of the Recruiting program, you will have to make separate arrangements to meet with the employer outside of our facilities.
I've requested an interview, how do I know if I am selected?
You will be contacted a week or two prior to the employer interview date if you are selected. You may be contacted via an automated email thru the Jobs for Jays system, or depeding on the situation the Recruitment Coordinator may contact you directly.
What if I have to cancel my interivew?
