Campus Card Policy
Your campus identification card includes your photo, your student ID number, student status and the validation sticker. Treat this card as you would any credit card. It is as valuable as cash on campus! It can be used for meals in The Marketplace, and to charge or use Jay Bucks through the Jay's Nest, Blue Bean Cafe, The Marketplace and other campus vendors.
If stolen or lost, contact Security immediately and the appropriate actions will be taken. It is considered theft to use another individual's ID card. Keep in mind that theft could result in expulsion from Elizabethtown College (reference Student Handbook and policy posted on Dining Services home page.)
Temporary I.D. Card Policy
If you would lose your ID, a temporary card will be issued to you upon notification of Security. The temporary ID is valid for 9 meals at The Marketplace ONLY. It is NOT valid for charging or using Jay Bucks. If you do not find your ID in three days, you will be asked to purchase a new card from Campus Security.
Questions about your card and its' uses should be directed to Lynda Hudzick, Office Manager, Dining Services. She can be reached at (717) 361-1158 or hudzicll@etown.edu.
Use Of The Card
Your identification card is solely for YOUR use in gaining access to any Dining Services location, the library, college store, athletic areas, vending access, and other campus locations and events. Keep your ID on your person at all times, and be prepared to present it to any Elizabethtown College official upon request. Please keep in mind that your ID is similar to a credit card and therefore is subject to misuse. Examples of misuse may include someone other than yourself using your ID for meal access, vending, or charging at retail locations.
Lost, Stolen Or Damaged Cards
In the event that your ID is lost or stolen, you would immediately notify the Campus Security office (extension 1263). You will be responsible for all transactions made with your ID until you report the loss to Campus Security. After you have reported the loss, you are no longer responsible for these transactions until the matter is resolved. In order to gain access to the The Marketplace for your meal plan, you would need to follow the temporary ID policy explained above. If your ID is damaged and is unable to be read in the card readers, you will need to go to the Campus Security office to have it replaced. At the discretion of that office, there may be a charge for a replacement ID.
Temporary Meal Plan Access ID Card
If your ID is lost or stolen, and you have notified Campus Security, you will then be eligible for a temporary ID, for use at The Marketplace ONLY. You will need to go to the Dining Services Administrative Office or the Door Checker to pick up the temporary ID. It will be good for a maximum of 9 meals.
