In Brief
James Wile earned a BS in Education with a major in mathematics in 1970 from Millersville State College. Since that time, he has taken 115 graduate credits, which includes a Master of Education in 1976, a program specialist certificate in 1985 and a supervisory certificate in 1995.
After three years with the 902nd Military Intelligence Group, US Army, he taught at Conestoga Valley School District for 32 years. During ten of those years, he was a computer network manager. His last seven years before retirement was spent as the K-12 math supervisor where he implemented a K-12 math program, developed and presented math workshops, observed, evaluated, hired staff, and was involved in both the gifted and special education programs.
He started as an instructor at Elizabethtown College in the Fall of 2006. His primary focus is to prepare students to teach mathematics.
Jim is married to Susanne, a reading teacher with Manheim Township School District. He has two children, Kristina, a Shippensburg graduate and math teacher and Jeffrey, a student at Millersville University. |
