In Brief
Dr. Finley-Bowman joins the College as Associate Professor of Education, with specialization in Social Studies and History Education. Dr. Bowman comes to Elizabethtown from Delaware Valley College, where she served as Associate Professor of History, Chair of the Department of Secondary Education, and Co-Director of the DVC Honors Program. Over the past 10 years, she has taught classes in American, European, World and Women’s history at various academic institutions, including Alvernia College, York College and Moravian Academy. She has presented her scholarly work in several publications and at various conferences. Dr. Bowman has been actively involved in curriculum reform, course development, and outcomes assessment. Her current research interests include student portfolios, assessment, and content expertise in secondary education. She lives in New Holland, PA with her husband Andrew and children, Grace and Jack. |
