In Brief Dr. Pitcher is an Assistant Professor in the Education Department. She teaches Language Arts courses which include Children’s Literature, Foundations of Literacy, and Integrated Reading and Writing. A former Reading Specialist, Dr. Pitcher scholarly interests include federal education policy and urban education.
