Christian S. Wenger English Prize

Every year the English Department confers the Christian S. Wenger English Prize upon the senior English major most worth of recognition. While excellence in English is important, the student recipient is not chosen solely on the basis of his or her English scholastic rating. Character, contribution to the college, and potential in representing the college after graduation are also considered. Established in 1973 with a gift by Mrs. Christian S. Wenger in memory of her husband, the Award carries a cash prize and is presented at the annual English Department Wenger Awards Ceremony, which follows the Wenger Banquet honoring all seniors.
