Sanitary Sewer
Currently within the Borough of Elizabethtown there is an established sewer moratorium. This moratorium will be lifted upon the completion of improvements to the borough's sewer treatment plant. Upon these improvements, the College will have opportunity to purchase additional EDU's for the projected mod- to long-range growth of the student population. The immediate addition of residential units will not require additional EDU's. The EDU's needed for these developments are currently unused by the College. Therefore, the College should shift their unused EDU's for the new residential units.
Stormwater Sewer
Currently on campus, stormwater flows to three different watersheds. The largest of the three watersheds flows into Lake Placida. The remaining two watersheds flow into the Borough's stormwater lines. Future development and stormwater planning on campus should direct most stormwater runoff to Lake Placida. Lake Placida should be dredged and enlarged to accommodate stormwater runoff from future buildings and other impervious surfaces.
