Construction Progres

2000

All of the projects contained in Phase I of the Master Plan have been brought to completion, with the exception of the track facility. The remaining "punch list" of work items were completed during fall break for the garden apartments, Brinser Hall, and the Steinman Center addition.

A last-minute safety item, a chimney to vent harmful vapors, was installed in the Steinman facility to address this concern.

The track project was originally expected to be complete by early November. However, recent weather conditions have prevented the contractor from being able to properly adhere the top urethane surface layer. Warmer and drier weather is needed for this process. This process is slated for application in late spring of 2001. The track surface, however, is usable in the meantime.
