Head Coach: Keith MarksKeith
Marks enters his 15th year with the Elizabethtown College golf program
in 2008-09, including 13 years as the team's head coach. The 2007-08 season was the most rewarding of Marks' tenure, as the Blue Jays captured the first Commonwealth Conference championship in program history and competed at the NCAA Division III championships, one year after finishing last at the conference meet. As the head coach of Etown from 1995 to 2000, he guided the Blue Jays to a 23-15 record in dual matches. In 2001 and 2002, he served as the program's assistant coach. He took over as the head coach again in
the 2002-03 academic year and promptly guided the Blue Jays to a fourth
place finish out of 14 teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference
Championships in 2003. At the 2004 MAC Championships, he led Etown to a
third place finish out of 14 teams, the program's best showing at the
conference championships since 1975. Marks has coached one PING Pre-Tournament All-American, Charlie Haines '04, and one MAC Individual Champion, Ben Smith '98. In August 2006, Elizabethtown College was named one of the nation's top 50 collegiate golf programs for academics by Golf Digest magazine. The rankings were compiled through composite scores based upon academics, coaches, facilities and player growth. Marks is also the Director of Campus Services at Elizabethtown College, a position that makes him highly visible on campus as manager of the College Store as well as the College's telephone network.
