Interlibrary Loan

Students, faculty and staff of Elizabethtown College can request books and periodical articles that are not available at the library.

Before ordering on interlibrary loan, always check the periodicals title list for journals and the library catalog for books and other materials.

ILL requests may be submitted in two ways:
  1. Access the High Library webpage (http://www.etown.edu/HighLibrary.aspx).
Click on Request items from other libraries.  Log on to the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan Service by typing in Etown network ID and password.   Fill out the appropriate form.

  2. Find citations in databases and order cited articles or books.
Use an  EbscoHost  or FirstSearch   database to find citations to articles
After finding citation, click on Request on Interlibrary Loan.  Log on to the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan Service by typing in Etown network ID and password.   Press Submit Request.

Use WorldCat to find citations to books and other kinds of materials.
Prefer titles that are held by many libraries, especially area college libraries. This will speed up delivery. After finding citation, click on Request on Interlibrary Loan.   Log on to the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan Service by typing in Etown network ID and password.   Press Submit Request.

Allow 5-10 days for delivery. You will be notified by email when books and articles arrive.  Books can be picked up at the circulation desk. Periodical articles will be posted on ILLiad for downloading or sent to you campus mailbox..
