Elizabethtown College offers extensive opportunities for students looking to "experiment" in their chosen fields of study.
Through internships available year-round, E-town history students gain practical experience in professional careers in history in a variety of innovative settings. Recent graduates have interned at such museums as:

- Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission
- Lancaster County Historical Society
- Ephrata Cloister
- Landis Valley Museum
- Army War College Library
