STUDY ABROAD

MAKE THE WORLD YOUR CLASSROOM!

Studying abroad during your college education is one of the smartest decisions you will ever make.  It will change your life profoundly and increase your employment options significantly.  Not only will you learn about the world, you will learn about yourself in ways you never imagined.

Studying abroad isn't just about going to class in a different country.  It's about experiencing another culture from the inside out, putting yourself in a completely unfamiliar situation and learning how to adjust and adapt.  It is an essential part to becoming a global citizen.

At Elizabethtown College, you can study abroad in 26 different locations on all six continents through one of our nine affiliate partners:

  • AustraLearn (Australia and New Zealand)
  • BCA (15 locations worldwide)
  • Herstmonceux Castle (UK)
  • Nihon University, Japan
  • School for Field Studies (five research centers)
  • Washington Semester at American University
  • Northumbria University (UK)
  • IEP (24 countries)
  • KCP International (Japan)

You can also choose to study abroad through any of our approved non-affiliated programs or faculty-led short-term programs.  Other options include working abroad, volunteering or interning abroad, and doing a service-learning program abroad.

To find out more, click on 'Documents Library' on the sidebar menu and scroll down to 'Preparing to Study Abroad'.  Then make an appointment to speak with the Academic Director of International Programs, Dr. Amy C. Simes in Nicarry 120.

Why just learn about the world when you can
EXPERIENCE IT!
