The Wayne A. Selcher Endowment

We are happy to announce some exciting news – the formation of the Wayne A. Selcher Endowment for Political Science.

The Selcher Endowment honors our senior colleague, a teacher, scholar and mentor who has served Elizabethtown students for 35 years, including 26 years as department chair.

Funds from this endowment will support enhancements to the political science curriculum not available through the regular budget, such as:
· More experiential learning opportunities for students, including the intercollegiate mock trial program and annual European Union simulation in Washington, D.C.
· Presentation of original student research projects at national conferences
· Course-related field trips to Washington, New York City and other places to hear speakers, visit historic sites and watch government in action
· Alumni mentoring and shadowing activities
· An annual on-campus lecture by a noted scholar in political science

You have a unique opportunity to join with your former classmates to support this endeavor. We have already raised over $15,000 from generous Political Science alumni and faculty; we are asking YOU to join with them and with us so we can reach $25,000. When we reach that amount, we will be able to begin spending the interest income on our projects to enhance the education today’s Political Science majors are receiving.

To participate,
· Mail a check, payable to: Elizabethtown College, to the Development Office at One Alpha Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
· Call the Development Office during regular business hours at 1-800-877-9758 and use your credit card to charge a gift.
· Visit our secure server @ www.etown.edu/giving and place a gift with you credit card.

Important: In all cases, please make sure you indicate that your gift is for the Wayne A. Selcher Endowment for Political Science.

Thank you in advance for joining us in supporting today’s Political Science students. We look forward to hearing from you very soon!
