APPLICATION DEADLINES FOR SABBATICAL LEAVE

Regular: October 1, 2008
Winter: January 15, 2009

Early March 15, 2009 (this is 1 ½ years in advance)

Materials should be in the Provost’s Office no later than the appropriate due date listed above. He will in turn distribute the information to the Professional Development Committee’s Sabbatical Leave Chair. Applicants should follow the guidelines in the Faculty Handbook, 3:16-20. The stipulated criteria for evaluating a sabbatical program are:
- Clarity
- Viability
- Benefits of the Program Presented
- Past Experience of the Candidate.
- C.V. (which should indicate the date of the last sabbatical)
- Professional Development Plan
- Chair’s letter or similar document (which should address departmental support for the program and coverage of the applicant’s classes during his or her absence)
- Any supporting documents that will enhance the strength of the application
