Friedly earned a B.F.A. at Arizona State University with an emphasis on ceramics and printmaking and an M.F.A. degree at the University of Wyoming in sculpture and printmaking. He is the past recipient of an Art in Public Places Award for the state of Wyoming, and he exhibits his work nationally and regionally.
