E-town College art prof featured in national arts and antiques magazine

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – An Elizabethtown College art professor and Lancaster native is featured in the October issue of Art&Antiques, the most widely read national art and antiques magazine.

Michael Allen of Palmyra, an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, is profiled in the magazine’s "Emerging Artist" column, which is designed to bring recognition to an undiscovered artist.

Allen has taught at Elizabethtown and at Harrisburg Area Community College since 2004. He earned a bachelor of fine art degree from Kutztown University and a master of fine art degree from the University of Delaware. His most recent group exhibitions include "Picturing Pennsylvania: Architecture in the State Landscape" at the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg, "State of The Art: A Mid-Atlantic Overview" at the Arlington Arts Center in Virginia, and "Rooftops and Steeples" at The Demuth Museum in Lancaster. His work has also been exhibited at Elizabethtown’s Lynden Gallery and the Artists’ House Gallery in Philadelphia.
