Elizabeth Coyle, lecturer in education

Coyle teaches child and adolescent psychology, inclusionary practices, school violence prevention and understanding childhood and adolescent mental health disorders in the classroom setting. Prior to coming to Elizabethtown College in January 2003, Coyle taught similar types of courses in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg and Penn State York. While at Penn State Harrisburg, she also conducted research on school violence prevention needs assessment tools.

  In 1998 she was trained, along with 25 other Pennsylvania consultants, in the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program model. Since that time, she has consulted with a number of school districts in southcentral Pennsylvania that have implemented the program. She also consults with local schools to address student issues of anger management and challenging behaviors.
