E-town College prof to discuss ‘conservative case for peace’

 

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – An Elizabethtown College political science professor will discuss “The Conservative Case for Peace” at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 1, at the College’s Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies. W. Wesley McDonald’s talk is open to the public free of charge and sponsored by the Peacemaking Area of Elizabethtown’s Center for Global Citizenship.


McDonald is one of the leading conservative thinkers and writers in central Pennsylvania. Faculty adviser for the College Republicans, he has published dozens of articles in scholarly journals and newspapers about the political arena and American conservatism. Author of the 2004 book “Russell Kirk and the Age of Ideology,” he is a member of the American Political Science Association, the Philadelphia Society, and he serves on the executive board of the Pennsylvania Political Science Association.
