E-town student directors featured during one-act festival

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Plays written, directed, designed and produced by Elizabethtown College theatre students will be presented during the College’s annual one-act festival. The event, held in Tempest Theatre, will begin at 8 p.m., Feb. 17-19, and at 2 p.m. on Feb.20. It is open to the public, and there is a $2 admission charge.

Five shows will be presented on Feb. 17 and 19: "Song of Solomon," directed by junior Ashley Kerns of Mechanicsville, Md.; "Figilo Perduto," written by sophomore Danielle Shantz of Elverson and directed by junior Ryan Gruber of Pottstown; "The Quality of Boiled Water," directed by junior Tyson Evensen of West Sand Lake, N.Y.; "Anti-Play," written by sophomore Amanda Brunish of Pottstown and directed by first-year student Michael Gephart of York; and "The American Crisis," directed by junior Matt Simon of Shenandoah, W.V.

Feb. 18 and 20 will feature four productions: "Foreplay, or the Art of Fugue," directed by Ashley Kerns; "Eukiah," directed by Ryan Gruber; "Angels Among Us," written by sophomore Julie Strickland of Gettysburg and directed by junior Aubrey Boyd of Lancaster; and "Drugs Are Bad," directed by senior Jeremy Ebersole of Copley, Ohio.
