E-town College student newspaper takes first place in contest

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College’s student newspaper, the Etownian, recently took first place with special merit in the American Scholastic Press Association Annual Contest/Review for Scholastic Yearbooks, Magazines and Newspapers.

The paper was also honored by the Society for Collegiate Journalists (SCJ), winning an honorable mention for overall excellence. Writer Charissa Jelliff, a senior English major from Elizabethtown, won honorable mention in the SCJ contest for feature writing.
