Elizabethtown College students to host breast cancer awareness benefit; “Feel Your Boobies” founder to speak
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – A breast cancer awareness benefit, organized by several occupational therapy graduate students, will be held at Elizabethtown College on April 3. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Event Space of the Baugher Student Center. Tickets cost $2 and are available at the door. Cancer survivors will be admitted at no cost. All proceeds will benefit Colleges Against Cancer, which will sponsor a Relay for Life at the College on April 18 and 19. More information on that event is available by e-mailing cac@etown.edu or calling 609-280-0884.
The benefit will feature performances by Elizabethtown’s a cappella groups, Melica and Phalanx, as well as the College’s dance ensemble E-Motion. Leigh Hurst of Middletown, founder and president of the Feel Your Boobies Foundation, will speak and will bring merchandise for sale. Her friend and breast surgeon will also address the audience, and the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition will host an information table.
