Dr. Jones has taught on the elementary, undergraduate and graduate
levels. She has also shared her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and
learning science as a consultant for teachers and administrators through
professional development and curriculum writing in school districts as well as
educational entities such as the Childcraft Corporation.
Dr. Jones is
currently the Site Director and Mobile Educator for the Science In Motion (SIM)
program which was funded by the Pennsylvania State Department of Education as
of July 2008. She also serves as advisor to the student chapter of the National
Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
Her research
interests are in the areas of leadership and its affect on the teaching and
learning of science as well as mapping change in students’ understanding of
inquiry and constructivism.
