How to Apply as a First-year Student

Prospective First Year Students may submit any of the following applications:

The $30 application fee is waived for any application submitted online.

NOTE: A hard-copy application will be mailed to every student who Request Information  from the Elizabethtown College Office of Admissions.

School Report and Recommendations

The School Report Form should be taken to the appropriate high school office for completion. The School Report, and one Teacher Evaluation should be returned to the Elizabethtown College Office of Admissions. You are more than welcome to submit additional letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, musical directors, pastors, employers, and Elizabethtown alumni.

Homeschooled applicants may submit a second

Teacher Evaluation

 in lieu of the School Report.

Official High School Transcripts

Submit your official high school transcript showing work completed through your junior year.  All applicants should submit mid-year grades from their senior year when available.

High school students taking college coursework should submit appropriate transcripts from the credit-granting institutions to detail their achievements.

Standardized Testing

Unless they qualify for the Standardized Testing Waiver, applicants are required to submit scores from either the SAT I or ACT. Elizabethtown does not prefer one test over another. Your official scores should be sent directly to Elizabethtown College (SAT code #2225 or ACT code #3568).

Writing Sample

You must also submit an example of your writing in the form of a personal statement, graded paper, or an essay on one of the topics suggested as part of the application.
