Kevin Bonner '02

kevin bonner at press confernce at micSince August 2009, Kevin Bonner has served as the assistant athletic director/communications & promotions at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pa. His position includes many responsibilities including serving as the crisis communicator for the athletic department; managing the athletic communications and promotions budget; working closely with athletic advancement, compliance, corporate sales and business offices; serving as a member of the university’s social media committee; and serving as the primary media and communications contact for a nationally prominent men’s and women’s basketball program. Additionally Kevin oversees the usage of Gola Arena's video board and official instant replay review system, and he pitches stories to local and national print and electronic media.

Kevin has worked for Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball in Philadelphia since 2006. Prior to working at La Salle, he served as the assistant athletic director/media relations and publications at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. Earlier, at Temple, he was associate director of sports media relations/publications and coordinator of athletic publications. He also worked in similar positions at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Kevin has won 13 CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) awards between 2002 and 2008 for his work in collegiate athletic media. He has a bachelor's of science in computer science with a minor in communications from Elizabethtown College. Kevin earned his master's of education in sports and recreation administration from Temple University in 2008.
