Our Graduates Succeed

We strive to provide our students with a complete and well-rounded education in the field of English that will allow them to excel in the careers they pursue after graduation. Our job placement rate for English majors has consistently been above 90% for the past decade.

Recent Elizabethtown English alumni are completing advanced degrees in English at the University of Delaware, University of Connecticut, Arizona State, Emory University and the University of Virginia. Other graduates are practicing attorneys or completing their law degrees at Boston University, William and Mary, Dickinson and the Catholic University.

Among our Elizabethtown graduates in English have been writers for syndicated television news programs and national magazines, award-winning sports journalists, music and film reviewers, as well as the creators of successful online magazines, web designers and editors of national online newsletters. E-town English majors graduate with a wide variety of opportunities before them, opportunities they have grasped with distinction.
