Alpha Mu: Elizabethtown College's Professional Student Music Therapy Group

Join the world and E-town's music students in singing songs to recognize International Peace Day, Friday, September 21, 2012 at 12:40 pm. This day was established by the United Nations in 1981 as a time to support efforts to end personal and planetary conflict and promote peace. We will gather in front of the BSC to share songs of peace and readings.

According to the UN General Assembly, "Peace Day should be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples….”  (United Nations, 1981). We are reminded to make peace not only within our immediate relationships, but also within our personal global understanding and tolerance of people from other cultures.
