Bachelor of Arts in Music

Students gain an in-depth background in music theory, music history, aural skills, keyboard harmony and the creative and performance skills important to any music career. The bachelor of arts in music is also an excellent choice for those with a strong interest in music who want a liberal arts education to prepare for graduate school or other careers such as the ministry, arts management, business, medicine or law.

A minor in music offers opportunities to acquire and develop skills in music theory, performance, music history and literature.

Daughtrey is a mezzo-soprano and an active teacher, performer and presenter.

Bomberger is chair Department of Fine and Performing Arts and teaches music history and piano.

Dr. Kevin Shorner-Johnson
Director of Music Education
Shorner-Johnson, assistant professor of music, has an interest in international music education.
