The minor not only looks at film as an art form—looking at the cinematography and screenwriting—it also examines these works as cultural artifacts. Courses in the Department of Philosophy are designed to explore fundamental issues of knowledge, value and meaning. The program promotes critical inquiry into basic questions in epistemology, ethics, science, religion, aesthetics and metaphysics. The members of the Department are dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach to philosophical questions that transcend the confines of narrowly drawn disciplinary boundaries.

Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy

Student can choose from one of three concentrations: Philosophy of Science, Professional Ethics, or Humanities.

Students can also pursue minor in Philosophy by completing five courses within the department.
