Choral Music at Elizabethtown College

Concert Choir, Dr. Matthew Fritz, director, is an auditioned group, E-town’s premiere vocal ensemble. This 35-member, mixed-voice, touring ensemble has performed throughout the United States as well as internationally. Auditions for the ensemble are held each spring for current students, and during Freshmen Orientation for new students.

Women’s Chorus performs throughout the school year singing a variety of literature and is directed by Professor Carrie Fritz. The ensemble is an auditioned ensemble of women from many different majors. Rehearsals for this ensemble are held Thursday evenings in Leffler Chapel Rehearsal Hall, 5:00–6:30.

College-Community Chorus, Dr. Matthew Fritz, director is open to all students, staff, faculty, and community members. This non-auditioned ensemble rehearses Tuesday evenings in Leffler Chapel, 7:30-9:00. The ensemble counts 80+ singers in its membership and focuses on masterworks.

Camerata is a student-led, auditioned ensemble numbering 8-12 singers, all voice parts. The ensemble sings a wide-range of music from the choral repertoire. Auditions are held each semester.

All ensembles and scholarships in the Fine and Performing Arts Department are open to all Elizabethtown College students, regardless of major. Auditions for Women’s Chorus and Concert Choir are held at the beginning and end of each academic year.
