Walls and Halls:
The Story Behind our Buildings
Shortly after Elizabethtown College opened in 1899—its original location was on Market Street—the first building appeared atop a grassy hill at the present-day campus. Aptly named, Alpha Hall became the first structure to dot the campus map.
Throughout the years, the campus has expanded to include multiple academic buildings, common areas, athletic facilities and residence halls; the most recent addition is the Masters Center for Science, Mathematics and Engineering.
Each building has a story; explore them here.
