Welcome to the Newman Club

If someone listens, or stretches out a hand, or whispers a kind word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen.
~ Loretta Girzartis
The purpose of the Newman Club is to enhance the individual spirituality of the campus community and foster a group identity among students interested in the Catholic faith. This is accomplished by offering activities in the three recognized areas common to established Newman organizations: social, spiritual and service. Social events should be designed to create a sense of community within the group. Spiritual areas should include such things as prayer, education in the faith, and group discussions. The club will provide service to the campus, local, and larger church community in the spirit of Catholic Social Teaching.
