ELIZABETHOWN,
Pa. --- Elizabethtown pitchers Derik Aasan (Cary, NC/Smithtown) and

all other frames. He improved his record to 3-1. Pittinger closed out
the game for his fourth save of 2000, tying Elizabethtown's program
record for most saves in a season.
Elizabethtown's offense ignited early as Tim Downing (St. James,
NY/Smithtown) doubled in the first inning and was driven home by a home
run hit by Chris Turtell (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst). Chris Romig
(Beavertown, PA/West Snyder) immediately followed with a single,
advanced to second on a passed ball, and was sent home on a single by
Jared Ness (McPherson, KS/McPherson), making the score 3-0 in Etown's
favor after one inning.
After Johns Hopkins tied the game at three in the top of the fourth
inning, Elizabethtown struck back in the bottom half by scoring two
more runs. Ness was driven in by Ken Glass (Pittsburgh, PA/North
