Back to top 10/10/2007 Blue Jays take second at Lebanon Valley tri-match ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Finishes Fall Schedule at Lebanon Valley LEBANON, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team wrapped up its 2007 fall schedule with action against Lebanon Valley College and Messiah College at the Lebanon Country Club on Wednesday. The Blue Jays (3-5 overall) shot 320 as a team to finish behind Messiah (315) and Lebanon Valley (349). First-year student Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) tied for the low round of the day with a 78, followed by sophomore Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) at 79, junior Maurice Rapp (Bangor, PA/Bangor) at 81, senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) with an 82 and first-year student Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) turning in an 84. (Par 72) Elizabethtown Results: Back to top 10/1/2007 Etown Finishes third at Albright quad match ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Places Third in Quad Match at Albright READING, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team shot 323 to finish third at a quad match at the Berkshire Country Club on Monday afternoon. Host Albright College (303) won the match followed by Moravian College (319), the Blue Jays and Lebanon Valley College (337). Sophomore John Krajsa (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) had the low score for the Blue Jays with a 78, with junior Maurice Rapp (Bangor, PA/Bangor) shooting 79, first-year student Justin Lizik (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) at 82, and first-year student Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) at 84. Albright's Matt Osorio shared the low score of the day with Lebanon Valley's Steve Gaby at 74. At Berkshire Country Club, Reading, Pa. John Krajsa, 78 Maurice Rapp, 79 Justin Lizik, 82 Alex Catalano, 84 Mike Wagner, 90 Stephen Powell, 91 Back to top 9/26/2007 Blue Jays Finish third at Penn State Harrisburg Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Finishes Third at Penn State Harrisburg Invitational Tournament HARRISBURG, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team finished third out of seven schools at the Penn State Harrisburg Tournament at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) was the team's top finisher as he shot a 78 to finish in third place. First-year student Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) carded a 79 to take fourth while sophomore Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) tied for 10th with a round of 83. Host Penn State Harrisburg won the tournament with a score of 320, followed by Philadelphia Biblical (323) and Elizabethtown. Jared Wilcox of Philadelphia Biblical shot a 75 to earn medalist honors. Justin Lizik, 93 Back to top 9/24/2007 Etown finishes seventh at Lebanon Valley Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Takes Seventh Place at Lebanon Valley College Fall Golf Tournament LEBANON, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team shot 319 to finish seventh out of 20 schools at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Golf Tournament at Lebanon Country Club on Monday afternoon. The leading player for the Blue Jays was junior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen), who shot a 76 to tie for 13th place. First-year student Nick Iacono (Hockessin, DE/Sanford School) carded a 79 to finish in a tie for 23rd place, and senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) finished with an 81 to tie for 32nd place. Franklin & Marshall College shot 294 to win the team championship, followed by York College (307) and Messiah College (308). Eric Salansky 44-41--85 Back to top 9/15/2007 Blue Jay Classic held at Hershey Country Club ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Finishes Seventh in Fall Blue Jay Classic ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team hosted the Fall Blue Jay Classic at the Hershey Country Club East Course on Saturday afternoon, finishing seventh in a field of 11 teams. First-year student Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) was the Blue Jays' top finisher as he shot an 80, with senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) and junior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) following at 83. The Blue Jay "B" squad also competed at the meet and finished 10th, with first-year student Nick Iacono (Hockessin, DE/Sanford School) carding the low round of the day with an 80. York College won the tournament with a team score of 300, followed by Dickinson College (311) and Gettysburg College and Moravian College tied for third at 318. Dickinson's Tommy Shapiro was the medalist with a score of 72. The Blue Jays' leading player was first-year student Dan Senkler (Orlando, FL/Sanford School) who carded a 77, followed by senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) at 78 and sophomore Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) with a 79.
