Back to top 1/25/2008 Men's DMR finishes 15th at Penn State Elizabethtown College Men's Track and Field Elizabethtown Takes 15th in DMR at Penn State STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's distance medley relay team finished 15th out of 17 schools at the Penn State National Invitational on Friday evening. The Blue Jays finished with a time of 10:28.18 for the 4,000-meter race, placing ahead of Bowie State and Division I Charlotte, which did not finish the race. Senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) went out in 3:12.8 for the first 1,200 meters, and senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) followed with a 50.6 in the 400 meters. Senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) clocked 1:54.4 in the 800 meters and senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) finished at 4:29.9 in the 1,600 meters. Back to top 1/23/2008 Distance medley relay team to compete at Penn State National Invitational FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Elizabethtown to Compete in Distance Medley Relay at Penn State National Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College will send men's and women's distance medley relay teams to compete at the Penn State National Invitational indoor track and field meet on Friday night, Jan. 25. The Blue Jay men's team will feature an all-senior quartet of Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) in the 1,200 meters, Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) in the 400 meters, Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) in the 800 meters and Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) in the 1,600 meters. Provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field championships in the distance medley relay on a 200-meter banked track is 10:07.00, and the school record is 9:58.76 set on Feb. 12, 2005 by the foursome of Tyson Evensen, Graybeal, Patrick Donovan and Steve Sanko. Competing for the Blue Jay women will be senior Erin Fisher (McEwensville, PA/Warrior Run) in the 1,200 meters, graduate student Lori Havrilak (West Grove, PA/St. Mark's, DE) in the 400 meters, sophomore Megan VanDenHengel (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) in the 800 meters and junior Tiffany Kulp (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) in the 1,600 meters. They will be aiming for the NCAA Division III provisional time of 12:15.50 as well as the school record of 12:14.37 set on March 5, 2005 by Katie Garner, Betsy Burroughs, Nicole Murphy and Melissa St. Clair. The women's distance medley relay is scheduled to begin at 8:50 p.m. on Friday evening followed by the men's DMR at 9:20 p.m. Fifteen women's teams and 19 men's teams have been accepted for entry into the meet. Back to top 1/20/2008 Kevin Clark wins pole vault at Susquehanna Orange & Maroon Classic Elizabethtown College Men's Track and Field Blue Jays In Action at Susquehanna University SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team saw action at the non-scoring Orange & Maroon Classic on the campus of Susquehanna University on Sunday afternoon. Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) was victorious in the pole vault for the second consecutive week, winning with a height of 4.90 meters (16 feet, 3/4 inch). Senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) took second in the mile run with a time of 4:28.85, followed by senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) in fourth at 4:31.42, first-year student Chris Heisey (Middletown, PA/Middletown) in sixth at 4:37.18 and sophomore Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) in seventh at 4:39.42. Junior Phil Alder (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) took seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 54.18 seconds, while in field events senior Bryan Marison (Birdsboro, PA/Daniel Boone) was fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 37 feet, 6 inches. In relays, the 4x200 team of sophomore Mike Mauger (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School), junior Jason Mastroianni (Macungie, PA/Emmaus), Clark and sophomore Kyle Grimm (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) took second with a time of 1:35.26. Back to top 1/12/2008 Blue Jays compete at Gulden Relays, Kevin Clark wins pole vault Elizabethtown College Men's Track and Field Blue Jays Compete at Gulden Relays LEWISBURG, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's track and field team competed at the Gulden Relays on the campus of Bucknell University on Saturday, competing against a field of Division I, II and III schools in a non-scoring meet. Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) won the pole vault after clearing 4.65 meters (15 feet, 3 inches) and senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) came in first in the 500 meters with a time of 1:04.69 to lead the Blue Jays. Other top finishers were sophomore Myles Lund (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga), who took seventh in the mile run (4:32.47), and junior Scott Derkacz (Huguenot, NY/Port Jervis), who took seventh in the 3,000 meters at 9:10.30. In relays, the 4x200-meter team of Clark, sophomore A.J. Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne), sophomore Mike Mauger (Pottstown, PA/The Hill School) and sophomore Wyatt Eaton (York, PA/Eastern York) was sixth in a time of 1:36.03. |
