Back to top 10/6/2008 Etown takes ninth at Bent Creek Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Finishes Ninth at Bent Creek Invitational Click here for the tournament results LITITZ, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team finished ninth out of 17 teams at the Bent Creek Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Monday afternoon. The Blue Jays turned in a round of 328, while tournament winner Franklin & Marshall shot 297 to win by 19 strokes over runners-up Rutgers-Camden and Wesley College. Leading finisher for Elizabethtown was senior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) who tied for sixth place with a five-over-par round of 76. Sophomore Nick Iacono (Hockessin, DE/Sanford School) tied for 43rd place with an 83, while first-year student Dan Bolstein (Maple Glen, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) tied for 48th with an 84. Dennis Gunderson of F&M was medalist with a one-under-par round of 70, followed in second by teammate Andrew Woods with a 71. At Bent Creek Golf Course, Lititz, Pa. Team Scores: 1. Elizabethtown Results: Back to top 10/1/2008 Blue Jays finish fourth at Messiah Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Places Fourth at Messiah Invitational Click here for the tournament results HARRISBURG, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team finished fourth out of 16 teams at the Messiah College Falcon Classic, held at the Blue Ridge Country Club on Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Jays shot 321 as a team to finish behind tournament champion Rutgers-Camden (302), Muhlenberg College (307) and the host Falcons (315). Senior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) tied for 10th place with a round of 77 for the Blue Jays, followed by junior Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) in 17th place at 79 and sophomore Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) in a tie for 27th place with an 82. The Elizabethtown "B" team finished in eighth place with a round of 334, as first-year student Andy McDonough (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) shot a 76 to finish in ninth place.
