Back to top 12/6/2008 Wrestling in action at York Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WRESTLING Elizabethtown at York College Invitational YORK, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College wrestlers competed at
the York College Invitational on Saturday afternoon, placing in a tie fifth out of 10
teams with 40 points.
Junior Tim Katzaman (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) claimed the title at 285 pounds, winning a 1-0 decision in the finals against Tony Carothers from Heidelberg College. Katzaman went 4-0 on the day with a fall and three wins by decision. First-year student Tyler Erdman (Herdon, PA/Line
Mountain) finished second at 125 pounds, dropping an 8-3 decision in a rematch against
Chris Sheetz of Delaware Valley. Erdman went 3-1 for the day
winning by tech fall, major and a decision.
Junior Eric Rhoads (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) went 3-2 on the day dropping his consolation semi final bout to miss placing. Delaware Valley College won the team title with 108.5 points, followed by the College of New Jersey at 95 and Heidelberg with 60. York College Invitational Team scores: 1.
