ES113-Earth in Space is still a Lab Science course

ES113 is still a lab science that includes: visits to the planetarium at F&M, evening stargazing sessions, field trips to local geological sites, and a variety of other discovery oriented activities that are accomplished without the need for a traditional laboratory session. In order to make scheduling of the class less difficult for students, it is now listed as including two hours of lab time each week that are arranged by the instructor in such a way that all enrolled students can satisfy the lab requirements. The new listing approach now reflects the way we have been handling the lab sessions for the past several years, so there is no change in the course structure just a less cumbersome approach to scheduling the lab activities. Any questions, contact Dr. Scanlin.
