Upcoming Service Maintenance

SERVER MAINTENANCE:

ITS will be performing maintenance on our enterprise storage system. This system provides storage space to several crucial servers. If all goes according to plan disruption should be minimal. Affected servers should only be down briefly, one at a time. Perhaps a few minutes per server.

MAINTENANCE TIME:

* Begin: 12:05 AM, Tuesday, May 20th

* End: 6:30 AM, Tuesday, May 20th

* Note: We chose to perform this maintenance during the overnight hours to minimize any impact

SERVERS AFFECTED:

The following servers are included in this maintenance project and may experience brief disruptions during the maintenance time.

* ECFinaid (PowerFAIDS)

* ECNuvision (Campus Services, Cash Registers, Card-Swipes, etc.)

* ECSirsi (Library Server)

* TEAMS (Jenzabar)

PLEASE NOTE:

All servers and all services should back to normal before working hours. Should be business as normal for the remainder of the day.

Summer Upgrade of Software in Computer Labs

Over the summer, Information & Technology Services will be upgrading software in computer labs and podiums on campus for the 2008-2009 academic year. We plan to perform major upgrades on six software packages and minor patch upgrades on 10 more. You can find a complete list of software that is currently installed in the lab as well as the proposed version for the fall on this website (PDF).

Please review this list and ensure we have included all of the software you plan to use for your classes next year. If you have requests for additional software or changes to the versions, these requests must be made to HELPDESK by June 13th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (HEASLERP or ext. 1558) or Matthew Fischer (FISCHERM or ext. 1265).

Additionally, due to renovations in Esbenshade Hall, the computer lab in Esbenshade 262 will be permanently closed on Monday, May 12. These computers will be moved to the new lab, Esbenshade 260H, in August.
