Elizabethtown Takes Second at York Invitational

YORK, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team posted a second-place finish at the eight-team York College Spring Invitational at the Out Door Country Club on Monday afternoon.

The Blue Jays shot 324 as a team to finish second behind the host Spartans, who placed five players in the top seven individuals to win the tournament with a score of 310.

The top finisher for the Blue Jays was first-year student Dan Senkler (Orlando, FL/Sanford School), who shot a 77 to finish in second place, three shots behind medalist Cody Trabert of York.

Senior Hunter Gross (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) and first-year student Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) tied for 11th place with a round of 82, followed by sophomore John Krajsa (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) in a tie for 14th place at 83.
