Back to top 9/27/2008 Blue Jays shoot 309 at Susquehanna Invitational ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Elizabethtown Sixth at Susquehanna Invitational HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College golf team finished sixth out of 18 teams at the Susquehanna University Invitational, held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays' round of 309 was the team's best score since a round of 303 at Messiah on April 3, 2004. Junior Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) was the Blue Jays' top finisher as he tied for second overall with a round of 73. Senior Mike Wagner (Allentown, PA/William Allen) turned in a 75, with sophomore Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) at 79. At Susquehanna Valley Country Club, Hummels Wharf, Pa. Leading the Blue Jays to a round of 326 was sophomore Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) who shot a 76 to finish in a tie for sixth place. Sophomore Dan Senkler (Orlando, FL/Sanford School) tied for 19th with an 81, while junior Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) fired an 82 to tie for 22nd place. The Blue Jay "B" team finished in eighth place with a score of 335, led by sophomore Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) who shot an 82. Junior John Krajsa (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) competed as an individual for Elizabethtown and tied for 12th place with a 79. At Hershey Links, Hummelstown, Pa. Junior Kurt Amen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) finished with an 80, while sophomore Geoff Quinque (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen) fired an 83. Sophomore Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) came in with an 87, and junior John Krajsa (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) shot 88. First-year student Dan Bolstein (Maple Glen, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) competed as an individual for the Blue Jays and shot 82 in his first collegiate action. Cabrini College won the team title with a score of 295, followed by Franklin & Marshall College (296), York College (298), Rutgers-Camden (298) and Moravian College (299). Tim Harner of Cabrini shot three-under-par 69 to win the individual title by two strokes. At Lebanon Country Club, Lebanon, Pa. (Par 72) Elizabethtown Results: t57. Dan Bolstein, 82 Back to top 9/16/2008 Golf defeats Albright and Lebanon Valley in season opener ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE GOLF Blue Jays Defeat Albright and Lebanon Valley READING, Pa. --- Defending Commonwealth Conference golf champion Elizabethtown College opened its 2008-09 season by defeating Albright College and Lebanon Valley College in action at the Berkshire Country Club on Monday afternoon. The Blue Jays shot 313 as a team to finish 15 strokes ahead of Albright and Lebanon Valley, which tied at 328. Sophomore Dan Senkler (Orlando, FL/Sanford School) took third with a round of 78, and first-year student Kent Hersom (Edgecomb, ME/Wiscasset) tied for fourth with a 79. Finishing out the lineup for the Blue Jays were junior John Krajsa (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) with an 81 and sophomore Alex Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove) at 84.
