Three men's lax players named All-MAC

Men's Lacrosse Has Three Named to All-MAC Team

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Three members of the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team have been named to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Junior attack Aaron Weber (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) and junior defender Chris Day (Thornton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) were first-team selections while junior midfielder Jon Day (Thornton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) was a second-team pick.

Together, they led the Blue Jays to a 12-4 overall record and fourth place in the MAC with a 7-3 record, setting a program single-season record for victories.

Weber, a first-team All-MAC pick for the second straight year, tied the program single-season record for goals with 48 and broke his own record for points with 73. He scored at least one goal in all 16 games and netted five game-winning goals on the season.

He also broke the program career record for points with 181 and became the third player in school history to reach 100 career goals with 105.

Chris Day started all 16 games and finished with 28 ground balls, and led a Blue Jay defense corps that leads NCAA Division III in scoring defense at 5.62 goals per game. In 45 career games, Chris Day has recorded 123 ground balls.

Jon Day also started all 16 games and tallied 11 goals and five assists for 16 points, to go with 49 ground balls which tied for second on the team. In 45 career games, he has 35 goals and 10 assists for 45 points and ranks seventh in program history with 176 ground balls.
