Elizabethtown College hosts holiday concerts
Lionheart, College musicians perform in December
Elizabethtown College musicians, along with Lionheart, bring the seasonal sounds of music to Elizabethtown College. All concerts are in the College's Leffler Chapel and Performance Center, unless otherwise noted.
Gretna Music offers Lionheart, the world's most recognizable a cappella ensemble, performing Medieval and Renaissance interpretations of holiday tunes with an antique but modern feel. Tickets for the concert -- 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 -- are $19 to $30 and can be purchased online.
The Symphonic Band, led by Dr. J. Robert Spence, assistant professor of Music and director of Instrumental Studies at Elizabethtown College, performs classical music and popular tunes for wind and percussion instruments. The free concert is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.
A free holiday showcase featuring music from the brass, horn, flute, piano and vocal ensembles, as well readings by Elizabethtown College professors from the Theatre Division, takes place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Zug Recital Hall. Please join us in kicking off your holidays with the sounds of the season.
