Graduate School Preparation
Are you planning on attending graduate school after Elizabethtown? If so, the Career Development Center is available to help you, in addition to your faculty advisor.
Be sure to evaluate your interests and career goals to determine if graduate school is a good choice for you. Advanced degrees are necessary if you are interested in areas like medicine, law, or college/university teaching. A graduate degree may be advantageous to your career goals, even if they don't fit into the previous category.
If you are pursuing a graduate or professional program as a fall-back plan or without a specific outcome in mind, then you may be making a costly mistake. Grad school should not be an option if you are unsure of what else to do. Be sure to fully explore your options and discuss your ideas with your faculty advisor or another faculty or staff member whom you trust.
Attend a graduate school fair on campus to find out more information about different programs. Take a look at our Events page to find out about upcoming fairs.
