Business Associates Society
Area businesses and Elizabethtown College are collaborating in an innovative program that provides scholarship funding to assist local students continuing their education close to home.
The Business Associates Society (BAS) Program enables regional businesses to help local students, providing grants to young men and women who might otherwise be unable to afford a college education.
BAS is an effective way to show community leadership and help students attend Elizabethtown- a college recognized as "very competitive" in Barron's Best Buys in College Education and consistently ranked among the top regional liberal arts schools by U.S. New & World Report.
Donors and Recipients Benefit
While the recipients will benefit greatly from the much-needed financial support, so will the Business Associates. In addition to its public relations impact, each gift will strengthen the community by keeping the best and brightest of our high school graduates close to home. All Business Associates are invited to the annual scholarship reception in the fall to meet the recipients of the named scholarships.
Business Associates are also invited to a special BAS Breakfast with the President each spring. Finally, press releases noting business participation in the program are sent to all local newspapers and a full page ad thanking BAS members for their support appears in the Central Penn Business Journal each January.
