Publications
The following publications are made available to students at various stages of the Admissions or Financial Aid application process. Please read the descriptions below and review any publications that you feel may address your concerns.
Need-based Financial Aid Application Instructions
This publication is the guide to the need-based financial aid application process at Elizabethtown College. All prospective students that have APPLIED to the college are automatically mailed the application instructions. The cover letter that accompanies the instructions will include an Elizabethtown College Student ID that will eventually be used to complete college financial aid forms and give students on-line access to their grades and billing statement.
Financial Aid Handbook
This handbook is sent to every student by our office when we mail students their financial aid award letter. The award letter will contain all the grants, scholarships, loans, and jobs that our office expects a student to qualify to receive based on the data the family provides. This publication contains important information on the terms and conditions of all financial aid awards, student rights and responsibilities, expected family contribution, satisfactory academic progress, and many other areas that are essential to understanding and maintaining your eligibility for financial aid.
Financing your Education
Our office mails this four page brochure when we send students their financial aid award letters. This brochure contains three financing options that families may utilize to supplement the student's financial aid award. Details and suggestions on 10-month payment plans, PLUS Loans (parent loans), and SallieMae Signature Loans (student loans) are provided. The publication also contains "Billing Guidelines" designed to help families gain an understanding of how Elizabethtown College handles our billing procedures. Families are also encouraged to use the "bottom line cost" (price less financial aid and scholarships) when comparing the cost of Elizabethtown with the cost of other colleges.
