The Elizabethtown College men’s cross country team continues to add page-upon-page to its history book. The Blue Jays won their 10th Middle Atlantic Conference title since 2000 in the fall of 2011, and third straight conference championship. Eric Reichert ’12 made two straight individual titles for the men, following Charlie Larsen’s ’12 winning run in 2010. E-town has, without question, been the benchmark program in the MAC over the last decade.

Following their MAC Championship, the Blue Jays continued on to fnish ffth at the NCAA Mideast Regional and 18th at the NCAA Division III Championships in Winneconne, Wis. Three runners claimed all-region honors by fnishing in the top 35 at the regional meet.

Reichert went on to an 11th place fnish at the NCAA Championships, making him the pro-gram’s frst ever three-time All-American in men’s cross country. It was E-town’s sixth All-American performance all-time.

In the rich history of Elizabethtown College athletics, the men’s cross country program set the standard with eight consecutive conference championships. From 1999 to 2006, the Blue Jays owned the conference meet. Over that same time frame, the team fnished in the top six at the NCAA Mideast Regional meet each year – win-ning in 2002 and taking second in 1999, 2001 and 2004. The men have competed at the NCAA DIII Championships seven times, with a best fnish of 14th in 2004 and 2010.

Since 1999, 23 different Blue Jay runners have been recognized as All-Region a total of 39 times, highlighted by Dustin Scott ’03 who won the regional individual championship in 2002.
