Beginning varsity play in 2002, the Blue Jay men’s lacrosse team quickly became a premier program in the Middle Atlantic Conference and is emerging as a regional contender as well. The program has had a winning record in conference play every season since and has made seven appearances in the MAC semifnals in the last eight years.

Head coach Terry Corcoran, who arrived at Elizabethtown in 2006 as one of the winningest coaches in NCAA Division III history, has guided the Blue Jays to fve playoff appearances in the last six years. The 2010 squad reached new heights when it claimed the program’s frst-ever regular season conference title with a 10-1 league record.

The masterful job the coaching staff did with a very young 2011 squad cannot be understated, either. Corcoran, who claimed MAC Coach of the Year honors in spring of 2011, led the Blue Jays to victories in three of their last four regular season games. The wins were enough to give E-town the sixth and fnal spot in the MAC Tournament. E-town then went on the road to upset No. 3 seed Eastern University in the quarterfnal round, before falling to Widener. Six of Corcoran’s players earned All-MAC recognition, including frst team-ers Greg Kenneally ’11, Mike Kenneally ’11 and Brendan Corcoran ’12.

National recognition has come for the Blue Jays with Frankie Puzzangara ’07 and Aaron Weber ’10 each earning honorable mention All-American honors. On a team level, the Blue Jays have earned a pair of NCAA Division III Statistical Championships, leading the nation in man-down defense in 2007 and in scoring defense in 2009.
