Recently Awarded Tenure and Promotion

We are pleased to announce and congratulate the following faculty members who were approved at the April 2014 Board of Trustees meeting for tenure and/or promotion effective July 1, 2014:

Dr. Justin Badgerow, tenured and promoted to Associate Professor of Music. Dr. Badgerow has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Elizabethtown College since 2009. 

Dr. David Bowne promoted to Associate Professor of Biology .  Dr. Bowne has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Biology at Elizabethtown College since 2008. 

 

Dr. Gary Hoffman, promoted to Professor of Chemistry.  Dr. Hoffman has been a member of the faculty and part of the Chemistry Department at Elizabethtown College since 2002.  

 

Dr. David Kenley , promoted to Professor of History.  He also serves as Director of the Center for Global Understanding and Peacemaking.  Dr. Kenley has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of History at Elizabethtown College since 2004. 

Dr. Susan Mapp promoted to Professor of Social Work.  Dr. Mapp has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Social Work at Elizabethtown College since 2003.   She currently serves as chair of the Social Work Department.

 

Dr. Emma Neuhauser, tenured and promoted to Associate Professor of Finance.  Dr. Neuhauser has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Business at Elizabethtown College since 2008. 

 

Dr. Jean Pretz, tenured as an Associate Professor of Psychology.  Dr. Pretz has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Psychology at Elizabethtown College since 2010. 

Dr. Stephen Soltys, tenured and promoted to Associate Professor of Mathematics.  Dr. Soltys has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Elizabethtown College since 2009. 

 

Dr. Robert Wheelersburg, promoted to  Professor of Anthropology.  Dr. Wheelersburg has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Sociology/Anthropology at Elizabethtown College since 1989.

Mr. Richard Wolf-Spencer, tenured and promoted to Associate Professor of Theatre.  Mr. Wolf-Spender has been a member of the faculty and part of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Elizabethtown College since 2010.
